description If you are interested in having a RV delivered and set up on your campsite at Montana de Oro SP, Morro Bay SB, Morro Strand SP, and San Simeon SP Campgrounds, the following Concessionaire is the approved contract provider: Paso Robles RV Rentals (888) 898-2267 or www.PasoRoblesRVrentals.com . No business or private party may conduct business on State Park property without an approved contract. Montana de Oro State Park features over 8,000 acres of rugged cliffs, secluded sandy beaches, coastal plains, streams, canyons, and hills - with 1,347-foot Valencia Peak. Naturalists and backpackers enjoy the solitude and freedom found along the park trails. There are also mountain biking and equestrian trails. The best-known beach is Spooner's Cove, across from the campground. The park's name, "Mountain of Gold," comes from the golden wildflowers that bloom in spring. Wildlife in the park includes black tailed deer and the black oystercatcher. importantInformation Discount Pass must be presented at the time of check in. Your DMV Disabled Placard/License Plate does not automatically give you a discount on your campsite. You will need to obtain a CA State park-issued Disabled Discount Pass (DDP) or Distinguished Veterans Pass (DVP). Reservations available All Year. Fees include entry for 1 vehicle and 1 legally towed vehicle or trailer, additional vehicles will be charged per night at the park. Although your site may hold 2 or more vehicles, your reservation only covers 1 vehicle (except for group or specialty sites). Dogs are NOT allowed on beaches and trails at this park. Dogs are allowed in all campsites, including horse sites and group horse sites at the park; dogs are NOT allowed in the environmental sites. Environmental sites are hike-in sites ONLY! There is 1/2 mile hike to the Environmental Sites. There is a 10-day consecutive stay limit with a 20-day calendar maximum.
